2010 has seen the American Environmental Protection Agency introduce the strictest emissions regulations in the world. American heavy duty diesel engines are now limited to emitting a level of NOx no higher than 0.2 grams per brake-horsepower-hour.
To meet these requirements many manufacturers are implementing Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) solutions which require the constant controlled delivery of AUS32 into the exhaust system. Being able to monitor this solution is critical to the systems effectiveness and many manufacturers have adopted Gentech SCR sensor range which has been specially developed for this task.
