The Gentech PS1 series has brought higher reliability in a diverse range of applications. Of the varied applications where PS1 position sensor have been used the most prominent one is its application as Hook Switches in emergency phones along motorways, indicating the exact location of the operational phone to the monitoring centre.
The operational environment of motorways phones exposes them to dirt & water, which makes the normal micro switching an unviable option, replacing it with a single pole double throw switch (SPDT) which is encapsulated in a glass seal, further ensures robust & consistent operation.
Other applications include door interlocks, security systems & Interlocks & Position Indication.
